Committee Concerns

·         Is there a sample of the tire material to be used for the plaza?

·         What is the design you have in mind for this location?  Use the containers for public engagement and tire prep (collection, cutting, stacking), stage/performance space, green space, seating and tables on a raised deck.  Possibly convert to an ice staking rink in the winter with benches. Containers will be repurposed as small maker shops/vendor space to continue with the UpCycle brand of St. Clair Superior.

·         Is anything underway at the site currently?

·         Project team to email proposed signage for committee to administratively review.

·         How are you treating ADA compliance?

·         Funding and maintenance?  Funded through Kresge.

·         Final design would use 9200 tires.

James Amendola in attendance to represent SCSDC support and sponsorship of the project.
