• When does the Census form get mailed?
  Answer: Census forms are mailed in  Mid-March 2010.
• What are Hard To Count Areas (HTC)?
  Answer: Groups or populations who have historically
  been undercounted and/or traditionally have not
  responded well to the decennial census questionnaire,
  such as ethnic/minority populations, renters,
  low-income, etc.
• Are there any employment opportunities at the Census Bureau?
  Answer: Yes. Call 1-866-861-2010 or go to the web site at http://2010.census.gov/2010censusjobs/
• Is the Census confidential?
  Answer: Yes, This census information is only used for data purpose. All of the information the Census Bureau collects is confidential by law (Title 13, U.S. Code, Section 9). 
• Where can I get more information on the Census?
  Answer: You can find additional information at the US Census website, WWW.CENSUS.GOV.
• Why is it important for me to be counted?
  Answer: The 2010 Census is more than a population count. Census data provide a snapshot of the changing Asian population and help ensure appropriate representation for our community. Census data determine how many seats each state will have in the U.S. House of Representatives, and guide local decision-makers on where to build or improve roads, hospitals, schools, child-care centers, and more. Complete and return your census form to help your community be eligible for the funding it needs for a brighter future.
• What kind of assistance is available to help people complete the form?
  Answer: Questionnaire Assistance Centers (QAC) will be available to support those unable to read or understand the form. Language Assistance Guides will be available at all QAC locations in 59 languages, including:

  The census form will be available in Chinese (Simplified), Korean, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese upon request.

• I’m not an American citizen. Do I have to participate in the  April 1. 2010 Census?
  Answer: Everyone in the United States must be counted. This includes people of all ages, races, ethnic groups, citizens and noncitizens (including Visa students and green card holders). It is your duty to ensure you and your family are counted in the 2010 Census.

• What every college student should know?

• What assurances do illegal aliens like Mexicans and Somalis have that the Census Bureau will not share their Census responses with immigration officers?
  Answer: The Census Bureau does not ask about legal (migrant) status of respondents in any of its survey and census programs. The Constitution and its statutory mandate (in Title 13 of the United States Code) requires that we include ALL persons who have a usual residence in any state. The concept of “usual residence” (defined as the place where a person lives and sleeps most of the time) dates back to the Census Act of 1790.
  
  Under Title 13, all personally identifiable data collected, including address and GPS information, is considered confidential and will only be seen by sworn census employees. The law mandates that we cannot share the data with anyone, including other government agencies. Furthermore, every Census Bureau employee has taken an oath to protect this information and they are subject to a jail term, a fine - or both - if he/she discloses any identifying information. The address and GPS information collected is primarily for the 2010 Census, and will not be shared with anyone else and the Census Bureau retains the information as part of our master address and geographic data files for similar uses in other Census Bureau surveys and future decennial censuses.

SPANISH: La Oficina del Censo no pregunta sobre la situación jurídica (migrantes) de los encuestados en cualquiera de sus programas de estudio y censo.
