Cleveland Complete Count Committee

Across the nation, local Complete Count Committees are composed of active community members who are appointed by the highest-elected local government official.  Typically, committee members are active in the following areas of community life: government; education, media; community organization, workforce development, faith-based institutions, businesses, special populations, etc.

The Complete Count Committee works with the local Census Bureau staff to share the Census message with local residents, particularly in "hard-to-count" areas.  These areas are often characterized by one of more of the following circumstances:

  • Hidden or overcrowded housing
  • Populations that speak little or no English
  • New immigrant populations
  • Students living in off-campus apartments
  • Concentrations of poor households
  • People displaced by natural disasters or economic dislocation
