Name: John Sherwood Kelly

Biography:

John Sherwood Kelly was initially a member of the firm of Howell & Thomas. In 1918, along with H.J. Albrecht and Karl E. Wilhelm, he formed the firm of Albrecht, Wilhelm, & Kelly. He designed several important houses in Shaker Heights and churches throughout Cleveland, its suburbs, and Akron. He later went into practice for himself. He was a member of the firm Sticke, Kelly & Stickle from 1948-1956. He was listed as a registered architect in the November 1940 Ohio Architect. He lived at 5408 Euclid Avenue and his office was at 4216 Prospect Avenue. He was a member of St. Paul's Shrine and was buried in Calvary Cemetery.
