MANDATORY REFERRAL

  1. Ordinance No. 930-11 (Ward 15/Zone) Changing the use district of land on the south side of Fenwick Avenue west of West 44th Street from Semi-Industry to Two-Family Residential.
  2. Ordinance No. 961-11 (Ward 10/Miller): Changing the Use, Area and Height Districts of land located on the north side of Euclid Avenue between Burgess Road and Cliffview Road to Two Family Residential, a ‘B’ Area District and a ‘1’ Height District.

ADMINISTRATIVE APPROVALS

  1. Ordinance No. 936-11 (Citywide):  Determining to proceed to improve City-owned property in the City of Cleveland-First Suburbs Development Council Advanced Energy Special Improvement District, also known as the Northeast Ohio Advanced Energy District, also known as the Advanced Energy District, by the acquisition, installation and equipping of a special energy improvement project, together with the necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto; adopting the assessments; levying the assessments; authorizing the Director of Economic Development to enter into an agreement with the Advanced Energy District; and declaring an emergency.  

  2. Resolution No. 937-11 (Citywide):  Relating to the City of Cleveland-First Suburbs Development Council Advanced Energy Special Improvement District, also known as the Northeast Ohio Advanced Energy District, also known as the Advanced Energy District, as a special improvement district including the City of Cleveland; declaring it necessary to improve City-owned property in the Advanced Energy District by the acquisition, installation and equipping of a special energy improvement project, together with the necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto providing for the assessment of the cost and expense of such work upon the benefited City-owned property in the Advanced Energy District; and declaring an emergency.

  3. Ordinance No. 938-11 (Ward 5/Cleveland): Authorizing the Director of Economic Development to apply for and accept a grant from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for the Brownfields Economic Development Initiative; authorizing the Director to apply for a HUD 108 loan to supplement the financing received from the BEDI authorized above, for the cleanup and redevelopment of the former Warner and Swasey property located at 5701 Carnegie Avenue; and authorizing a contract with Hemingway Development, LLC, or its designee, to implement the project.

  4. Ordinance No. 942-11 (Ward 3/Cimperman): Determing the method of making the public improvement of rehabilitating, renovating, or making capital repairs to the North Point transitional housing facility located at 1550 Superior Avenue; and authorizing the Director of Community Development to enter into one or more public improvement contracts for the making of the improvement.

  5. Ordinance No. 952-11 (Ward 3/Cimperman): Approving the report of the Assessment Equalization Board on objections concerning estimated assessments with respect to the Market District – Cleveland Business Improvement District (the “District”); determining to proceed to provide cleaning and maintenance of the public rights-of-way within the District and additional security for the District and other services within the District; adopting the assessments; levying the assessments; and authorizing the Director of Economic Development to enter into an agreement with the District.
