MANDATORY REFERRALS

  1. Ordinance No. 323-09 (Citywide) To amend Sections 161.01 to 161.09 and 161.99 of the Codified Ordinances of Cleveland, Ohio, 1976, as amended by various ordinances; and to repeal Section 161.051, as enacted by Ordinance No. 329-99, passed June 7, 1999, relating to the Landmarks Commission.
  2. Ordinance No. 457-09 (Citywide):  To amend Section 337.08 of the Codified Ordinances of Cleveland, Ohio, 1976, as amended by Ordinance No. 83-52, passed May 14, 1952, relating to Multi-Family Districts by removing private clubs as a specified use.
  3. Ordinance No. 458-09 (Citywide) To supplement the Codified Ordinances of Cleveland, Ohio, 1976, by enacting new Sections 354A.01 through 354A.09 relating to Wind Energy Facilities.

SUMMARY CALENDAR

  1. Ordinance No. 409-09 (Ward 10/Coats) An emergency ordinance authorizing the sale of real property as part of the Land Reutilization Program and located on Shaw Avenue to Philemon Community Baptist Church.
  2. Ordinance No. 410-09 (Ward 6/Mitchell) An emergency ordinance authorizing the sale of real property as part of the Land Reutilization Program and located at 8010 Plat Avenue to Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity.
  3. Ordinance No. 404-09 (Ward   /           ):  Authorizing the Director of Public Safety to lease property known as 23600 Mercantile Road, Unit J, from Mercantile Associates for the public purpose of leasing space to store goods necessary for the operation of the Cleveland House of Corrections, for a term not to exceed one year, with one option to renew for an additional one year period.
  4. Ordinance No. 396-09 (Ward 8/Pierce Scott):  Determining the method of making the public improvement of rehabilitating and replacing the Earle Avenue area sewer system, which may include but not be limited to installing manholes and catch basins, and authorizing the Director of Public Utilities to enter into one or more public improvement contracts for the making of the improvement.
  5. Ordinance No. 397-09 (Ward 1/Pruitt):  Determining the method of making the public improvement of rehabilitating and replacing the Lee Road area sewer system, which may include but not be limited to installing manholes and catch basins, and authorizing the Director of Public Utilities to enter into one or more public improvement contracts for the making of the improvement. 
  6. Ordinance No. 398-09 (Ward 21/Keane):  Determining the method of making the public improvement of rehabilitating and replacing the Pearldale Avenue area sewer system, which may include but not be limited to installing manholes and catch basins, and authorizing the Director of Public Utilities to enter into one or more public improvement contracts for the making of the improvement.
  7. Ordinance No. 399-09 (Ward 6/Mitchell) Determining the method of making the public improvement of rehabilitating and replacing the Platt Avenue area sewer system, which may include but not be limited to installing manholes and catch basins, and authorizing the Director of Public Utilities to enter into one or more public improvement contracts for the making of the improvement.
  8. Ordinance No. 400-09 (Ward 16/Kelley): Determining the method of making the public improvement of rehabilitating and replacing the Woburn Avenue area sewer system, which may include but not be limited to installing manholes and catch basins, and authorizing the Director of Public Utilities to enter into one or more public improvement contracts for the making of the improvement.
  9. Ordinance No. 402-09 (Ward 13/Cimperman):  Authorizing the Director of Port Control to enter into an amendment to Contract No. 68258 with the Great Lakes Science Center for the purpose of constructing an enclosed all-weather pedestrian connector between the Great Lakes Science Center and the Steamship Mather to change the leased premises. 
  10. Ordinance No. 461-09 (Ward 8/Pierce Scott) An emergency ordinance authorizing the sale of real property as part of the Land Reutilization Program and located on Ansel Road to Roderick L. Marion. 
  11. Ordinance No. 448-09 (Ward  /              ):  Determining the method of making the public improvement of renovating, refurnishing, equipping, and making alterations to the Southern Service Center; authorizing the Director of Public Utilities to enter into one or more public improvement contracts for the making of the improvement; authorizing the Director to employ one or more professional consultants to design the improvement; and to enter into various written standard purchase and requirement contracts needed in connection with the improvement. 

ADMINISTRATIVE APPROVALS

  1. Ordinance No. 463-09 (Citywide) Authorizing the Director of Finance to apply for and accept American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds from Federal, State or other public entities for various City improvements, projects, and programs eligible for this funding; authorizing the Director to apply for and accept other grants, loans, and gifts from Federal, State, or other public and private entities to implement ARRA-funded projects; authorizing various contracts, contract amendments, and grant agreement amendments, and other agreements necessary; authorizing the Commissioner of Purchases and Supplies to acquire for right-of-way purposes such real property and easements that are necessary to implement the ARRA-funded projects; to pay or reimburse other entities for related costs, including the City share of improvements; to pay for permits, licenses, fees, charges, and other authorizations required for any ARRA project; and to enter into contracts that are necessary.
  2. Ordinance No. 361-09 (Ward 20/Sweeney) Authorizing the Director of Public Service to issue a permit to The United States of America by and through its agency, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Glenn Research Center to encroach into the public right-of-way of Brookpark Road installing, using, and maintaining a 12” sanitary sewer in a 24” steel casing.
