Installation of a new wall sign
Notes:  

James Vacey of Signature Sign Co. presented the first draft of the sign.   The owner was not present at the meeting and indicated that he did not know that the sign company was presenting to the committee.  He said that the sign that Mr. Vacey presented was not the final draft and that he was working with a new sign company, BNext Graphics, to come up with a new design.  


The new plans were presented to the committee Feb. 22nd.

Gwen Thomas of Lee Harvard CDC and Ward 1 Councilman Terrell Pruitt and his assistant James attended the meeting.  Gwen Thomas indicated that she had been working with the owners of Epic and that the plans that they submitted are not the plans that were agreed upon.  She requested that the committee table the decision so that they have a chance to talk to the owners.

  • that they add restaurant to the name to reflect what the business actually is.
  • show dimensions of the sign on revised plans
  • paint the building with a breathable paint using two colors or three at the most
  • add an awning over the door
  • use myrtle in the landscape area in front of the building due to the low maintenance requirements.
