Project presented by Mark Henning.  Presented details on the proposed ADA ramp.  There is a single step that will have to be removed to add a small slope/incline.  A small segment of fence will be added to complete the exsiting fence.

 

Committee Comments, Questions, Concerns

  • Will a ramp be added?
  • Is the door wide enough?
  • Is a railing required?
  • Will the doors be push-button powered?
  • How far away is the proposed entrance from the main entrance?
  • Were bollards considered instead of adding the portion of fence.
  • Entrance will be lit with a double headed LED.

 

James Amendola from SCSDC is available for comment and questions.  Concerns raised about pedestrian activity from the parking lot, concerned that the proposed gate will be an impediment to non-ADA customers wanting to use this entrance.

 

Motion to approve as presented with recommendation to revisit the entrance due to the potential door conflicts and clearance space needed.
