Project presented by Adelle Wincek from BNext Signs and Designs.  Made revisions from the initial submission to include removing the purple from the panel for white, and removing the signage over the side entrance.

Committee Concerns

  • Is this awning existing? Will they remain?
  • Can the goosenecks and the main letters be centered on the massing of the store front?
  • Why was the white backer chosen instead of the purple?  Can an offwhite be substituted?
  • Will your client be occupying the entire storefront? Yes
  • The remaining white backer seems akward, can the backer sign stop at the storefront?
  • The client will paint the bottom panels to match their corporate branding (purple).

Motion to approve with the conditions to center the lettering of the large sign and goosenecks to center of the storefront, center the circular signs beneath the two windows at the end of the second floor, change in color of the white backer to off-white, remove the excess panel backer at the ends of the circular signs.  Revised plans to be submitted electronically.

Councilman Dow in attendance today.  Would like to leave the design aesthetic to the Committee, but would like for it to look nice.
