Near West Case # NW 2010-026
|Address:||3266 Steelyard Drive|
|Owner/Rep:||Stacie Flaisman - Key Bank & Rob Sweet McBride Dale Clarion|
|Architect:||Michael DeMarco - Vocon Architects|
|Description:||Construct a 2,300 s.f. bank branch w/drive-up teller & ATM|
|The proposed bank will consist of 2,300 S.F. and 24 parking spaces. A drive-thru is proposed on the north elevation and consists of one ATM/AHD lane, two video-automated teller (VAT) lanes, and a by-pass/escape lane. Five drive-thru stacking spaces are proposed per lane. Full movement driveways are proposed along the western and northern property lines. No direct access from the property to Steelyard Drive is proposed. Key Bank is not permitted to have a freestanding sign for this outlot. In its place, wall signs are proposed for four building elevations.
The building facade will be a combination of two brick colors. A darker brick (Belden Admiral Full Range Velour) will be used throughout the elevations and a lighter brick (Belden 8530A) will be used on the drive-thru. A flat roof is proposed and mechanical equipment will be placed on the roof and screened from view of Steelyard Drive and surrounding parking areas. The building is approximately 17'-4" in height from its base to the top of the main building coping w/additional height for the proposed steel towers. A steel structure entry tower is proposed along the main entrance and a steel tower is proposed at the SW corner. The towers are designed to provide consistent design elements similar to other buildings in the development and will not exceed 32 feet in height. Dumpster enclosures will be constructed of the same materials as the main building. Red steel awnings will be located above the windows. The main entrance to the facility will be located along the east elevation.
Site lighting will be provided in accordance with the City zoning code and be consistent with the Steelyard Commons design theme. Lighting provided under the canopy will be recessed and the fixtures will not be visible from Steelyard Drive. Landscaping and ground cover will be provided in all non-paved areas of the site and within islands in the parking areas. A bike rack will be provided on the north side of the main entrance. Key Bank has received approval from First Interstate Properties (landlord) for the building design, materials and overall site plan and design.
